Continuing the Conversation

Although we meet together as a community on Sunday mornings, its important to remember that church is not an event that we attend weekly. To have true community and a thriving church we must continue to worship and experience community throughout the week. Loving Others Not Like Me

How do you love others who are seemingly so different from you?

Most of the time it is easy to love those who are like us. Therefore, how do we guage how we love people in general? We are better off testing our love for others by observing how we love those that annoy us, or hate us, or are different than us, or are richer/poorer than us, or are of a different political belief than us, or are of a different faith than us, etc.

Practical suggestions...
Ask God to give you a heart for them
Be intentional
Have an eternal perspective
Value/understand/respect by listening
Be consistent
Love people where they're at
View people the way God views them
Be humble
Be open to what God brings you
