Although we meet together as a community on Sunday mornings, its important to remember that church is not an event that we attend weekly. To have true community and a thriving church we must continue to worship and experience community throughout the week. Feel free to comment on different discussion topics, share what the Lord has done in/for you, and check back often to see what we're focusing on together....

Fruitfulness

Fruitfulness tastes good.

God is the gardener and his job is to make sure the branches (us) are able to produce the most good fruit as possible. Sometimes this includes harsh pruning. The branches (us) need to be connected to the Vine (Jesus) in order to produce fruit.

Matthew 7:15-20 "Beware of false prophets who come disguised as harmless sheep, but are really wolves that will tear you apart. You can detect them by the way they act, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit. You don't pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles. A healthy tree produces good fruit, and an unhealthy tree produces bad fruit. A good tree can't produce bad fruit, and a bad tree can't produce good fruit. So every tree that does not produce good fruit is chopped down and thrown into the fire. Yes, the way to identify a tree or a person is by the kind of fruit that is produced."

Noticing the fruit other people produce is not difficult. We are to be people who produce good fruit.
