Continuing the Conversation

Although we meet together as a community on Sunday mornings, its important to remember that church is not an event that we attend weekly. To have true community and a thriving church we must continue to worship and experience community throughout the week. Why can't we all just get along?

Matthew 5:21-26

Jesus values peace.

Angry = subject to judgement (uncontrolled, seeking revenge)
Idiot = the high counsel (Heavenly court) (Calling somebody an idiot stems from pride, from feeling better than them)
Curse = fires of Hell (Cursing someone comes from having hatred towards them)

Jesus compares these fits of rage to the act of murder.

Ephesians 4:29-32

When we speak to others the way Jesus never would, it grieves the Holy Spirit.
