M: III
What comes to your mind when you hear the word "missions"?
Matthew 28:18-20 is the main scriptural support for missions (the Great Commission), but it really started way back with Abram (later Abraham). God called him to GO to a place he hadn't been before.
Paul in the New Testament was Abram's equal, as God called him to GO to the Gentiles.
Missions are an action. God told Paul to go and tell his story and experiences to people. Once we have come to know Christ, we have become living representations of the Gospel.
Our response to God's call should be obedience and faith. When God says to GO, we should go...and not stop until He says to our tells us to go somewhere else!
As Christians, we need to be living in God's presence daily; seeking Him daily. He will not hide Himself from us and we need not worry that we're missing His call. We should be aware of God in our lives and making decisiions accordingly.
Acts 1:8 - We will receive POWER and will TELL people about Him everywhere!
