Although we meet together as a community on Sunday mornings, its important to remember that church is not an event that we attend weekly. To have true community and a thriving church we must continue to worship and experience community throughout the week. Feel free to comment on different discussion topics, share what the Lord has done in/for you, and check back often to see what we're focusing on together....

Servanthood

Discussion questions:

What kind of needs that people have are you good at meeting?

What kind of needs are difficult for you to meet?

We all have something to give, and Kim thinks that we should find out what that is and really concentrate on employing it.

Colossians 3:17
Ephesians 5:16

1. The ministry of serving people does not need to be done at a religious institution.

2. The ministry of serving people is to be a lifestyle; to be "open for business."

3. The ministry of serving people is to be intentional.

Our faith should be embraced at all times and in all places. We all have opportunities to serve others daily, be it at work, school, home, the library, etc.

False motives are usually easy to spot. Our intentions in serving people should not be to complete a project, but to love people as Christ does.

Steve says...for some reason it seems easier to meet needs of people when you're on a 2 week mission trip than it is to always be involved in serving people wherever you're at.
